we wanted to run a real world test using the Tao ts4 optimizers and see what kind of results we could produce so at our facility we went ahead and hooked up a tao ts4 system for the test we had a small cardboard cutout that we used to shade a portion of one panel on each array we had two arrays total and each one of these arrays is four 460 watt B facial panels so one of the arrays has a tao ts4 Optimizer the array you're looking at now the first one we used and the other one does not

for this first array we started about 118 Watts somewhere in that range and after applying the shade we get down to about 990 Watts at our lowest for a difference of about 118 Watts so for partial shading on the first array the total wattage loss that we have is about 118

for the second part of this test we use the array that did not have the Tao ts4 system hooked up this array started out pulling about 1,470 watts and then the lowest number we see it get to is down around 800 so some quick math there that's about 670 Watts the difference between the two arrays ended up being 552 Watts between the array that had the tie goes and the array that didn't that's more than a full panels difference in just four panels
